RIBs
– Rigid Inflatable Boats – are probably the safest form of
boating particularly for the family. Just think for a moment why
the RNLI use them.
Worldwide, the use of RIB’s has outgrown all other forms of
boating and in Ireland it has become increasingly popular. If
you visit most marinas, harbours throughout Ireland there will
most certainly be a number of RIB’s moored there.
We
have over 10 years experience using RIB’s for family fun and
doing long haul trips with RNLI crew.
We
have seen many types of claims and know the level of cover
required.

As
with RIB’s most of the covers required are similar because the
general risks remain the same. Again we use experienced
underwriters (who normally sail themselves) to provide the
all important cover. Sails are covered as is underwater
gear and transit by road. The policies offered are underwritten
on an ‘all-risks’ basis so most eventualities are covered. |
We
are happy to quote for any sea going vessel. Apart from RIB’s,
Yachts, Motor Cruisers etc., we also insure higher value boats
such as ‘Grand Banks’ ‘Nordhavn’ etc which are regularly
used outside the UK/ EIRE jurisdiction.In addition we can insure
boat builders, marinas, boat clubs etc.
